About Birchgrove Garden Centre

Set within the heart of South Holland is Birchgrove Garden Centre a family business where you are always guaranteed a warm welcome.

Birchgrove Garden Centre opened its doors to the public on Thursday 12th April 1973. The brainchild of Adrian Moerman, the garden centre was built on land at the front of his pot plant nursery in Pinchbeck.

The original site (around 6 acres) consisted of a garden shop, outdoor plant area and portacabin selling pigeon corn.

In 1990 the Slinger family took over the business and Birchgrove has remained with them to this day. Over the years many alterations and improvements have been made including the addition of 2 x 30m x 10m greenhouses, one of which now houses the garden shop, the other the pet centre 'Megapets'. Other additions include a coffee shop, furniture shop and covered outside area.

Megapets

Megapets supply almost 100 different types of dog and cat food from many of the U.K’s major manufacturers including Arden Grange, Bakers, Beta, Burns. Chappie, Chudleys, Felix, Hills, James Wellbeloved, Omega, Pedigree, Purina, Royal Canin, Symply, Vitalin, Whiskas along with our own Megapets brand all at very competitive prices.
In addition to our range of cat and dog foods we supply everything for all your other pets too, catering for Small Animals and Birds along with a good selection of feed for farm animals.

For the fish enthusiast, we offer both indoor and outdoor fish in season, with a comprehensive stock of Ponds, Pumps, filters & requisites, along with Aquariums, medications and ornaments.

Bettertack

Bettertack is our equestrian and county clothing department, supplying just about everything you could need for your horse and rider. In keeping with our policy of providing the very best quality products, we look to some of the equestrian world’s finest names to bring you clothing from companies like Joules, Toggi, Horseware and Sherwood. Riding hats by Champion and Body Protectors from Airowear.

We have an extensive range of footwear for riders and also a large selection of Wellington Boots made by Aigle, Hunter, the Muck Boot Company and Lowther, with sizes to suit small children as well as adults.

For your horse we have leather Bridles from Stubben, Keiffer and Peter Dever along with an imported range made by Chetak. Our rugs are supplied by Amigo, Rambo and Masta and we have an endless supply of accessories, Feed, Supplements and gifts which all horse lovers will want.

Gifts & Collectables

At Birchgrove we pride ourselves on the quality of our products and our gift wear section is no exception.  We stock a huge range of gifts and collectables.  From comic Piggin figures to beautifully crafted minature Lilliput Lane cottages, we are confident that you can find the perfect gift for that someone special at Birchgrove.
