Rider safety is one of our main concerns. We supply riding hats to the latest standards by Champion and Body Protectors from Airowear. Within the department we have fully trained staff to ensure the safety garment fits correctly and to advise on it’s future care.

We have numerous types of bedding readily available, from rubber matting, through shavings, softchip and Bliss bedding. You will also find just about everything for the yard with wheelbarrows, forks, brushes, electric fencing and all kinds of ironmongery available.

The staff working in the Bettertack department are all keen horse owners and riders with years of experience in their handling and care, linked with on-going training for new and existing products and supported manufacturers nutritional training there is always someone available to offer help and advice and show an interest in your shared love of horses. 

We have an extensive range of footwear for riders and also a large selection of Wellington Boots made by Dunlop, the Muck Boot Company and Rockfish.

For your horse we have an extensive selection of leatherwear. Our rugs are supplied by Amigo or Shires and we have an endless supply of accessories, supplements and gifts which all horse lovers will want.

Our fully qualified Animal health advisors are also on hand to offer help and advice on all of your horses worming requirements, and to discuss annual worming regimes to suit your horses individual requirements.

Bettertack is located within the Megapet Centre and is open 7 days a week 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday and Bank holidays
