Sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (½”) deep with 30cm (12″) between rows.

Thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4″). Do not transplant.

Can be sown in early March in a cold frame or under cloches for an earlier crop. Not out of place in a flower garden with its pretty foliage. Can be sown in June to produce baby beet in the Autumn
