Introduced in 1996 Colleen is a first early variety bred in Ireland.
For a first early Colleen is very high yielding with round/oval tubers, white skin and light yellow flesh.
It has a fairly firm texture, a creamy taste and only minimal discolouration when cooked.
Very versatile, Colleen is a great potato to use, ideal for boiling but equally good for chips or in salads.
Shows high resistance to tuber blight and good resistance to scab and potato virus.
